Helping the more than 800,000 adults over the age of 60 in South Florida be the best
they can be by staying healthy and independent is the goal behind the Healthy Aging Initiative by Health Foundation of South Florida. The Foundation has allocated an unprecedented $7. 5 million over five years to community partners for prevention programs designed to improve health and enhance the quality of life for older adults in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.

To guide the adoption and delivery of the programs, the Foundation brought local, state and national leaders together and created the Healthy Aging Regional Collaborative.  Launched in the fall of 2008, more than 17,000 participants have benefiited from the classes and programs.

Health Foundation welcomes your interest as we continually strive to forge a collaborative to improve the health of older adults. Please contact us for more information or are interested in partnering opportunities.
